In the second paragraph of your commentary on meadowlarks, you have mixed up the labelling of the eastern and western photos (left and right). This could be corrected by repositioning the photos
Hi, Brian–
Thanks for pointing this confusion out. It wasn’t a problem with the order of the photos but with some recent changes WordPress made on how they display photos (I think so that most pages will display readably on phones and tablets). As a result, I have had to change the HTML code for pretty nearly every photo on every one of my blogs. Clearly, I didn’t fix this page’s code correctly! I love WordPress, but this change really wreaked havoc with my blogs…
At least on my computer, these photos are now displaying as they used to before the “improvement.” Again, thanks for letting me know.

Hi, Vonna–
Thanks so much and we’re glad that you’re enjoying the newsletters. I’ll pass your request on to our feature writers (I write the nature articles) and see if we can’t get someone to write about it in the near future. Thanks for the suggestion!
Tina
I enjoy your articles on birds and wildlife so much! I am always learning ( something in us that shouldn’t ever stop ) and I like the beautiful artwork of the birds too. Was wondering if there’s a way to get ahold of any of the older copies? I’ve only lived here a few years. Thanks again and keep up the good work!
Hi, Victor–
Thanks for the positive feedback! You can find electronic versions of all the newsletter since we started doing them on this blog too. Under the header photo, just click on the “In the Valley newsletter” link and you’ll find them all there, in reverse chronological order.
